Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing & updating projects’ BOQs and calculating quantities.
- Review schematic designs of new projects received from the design team, to verify their compliance with local building codes & regulations.
- Reviews preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates related to the project.
- Prepare and issue necessary shop drawings for all allocated tasks.
- Responsible for reviewing structure & MEP drawings and technical coordination between all disciplines.
- Responsible for creating any required construction details.
- Responsible for responding and preparation of RFIs to contractors and consultants and site queries.
- Prepare quantity survey for steel, concrete and electrical work and any implemented activities by using computer programs or manual.
- Ensure that the site is supplied with all documentation and materials needed to carry out the works.
- Check quantity surveying works and materials take-off to insure the accuracy of quantities in the BOQ.
- Communicate with concerned departments to prepare the general procurement plan.
- Prepare the subcontractors’ and consultant’s invoices based on the progress report sent by the site engineer.
- Work on value engineering in order to present optimum solution, upon need.
- Receive and work on the Variation Orders and prepare Notice to Claim.
- Prepare periodical reports such as Quantity Executed Invoices and send them to the concerned departments.
- Prepare the construction method statements and risk assessments.
- Prepare temporary works drawings and site related design drawings.
Qualifications:
- Education: Engineering bachelor’s degree.
- Real estate, construction or engineering consultancy experience is a must.
- Related function experience: 5+ years’ experience.
- Related position experience: 3 years’ experience.
Technical Qualifications:
- MS office – excellent.
- AutoCAD – Excellent
- Revit – Excellent
